Garage Floor Coatings for New Homes in Centerton, AR

Centerton is one of the fastest-growing cities in Arkansas, with new subdivisions going up along Highway 102 and around Bentonville West High School. Most of those homes come with a bare, builder-grade garage slab. The best time to coat it is before the boxes, cars, and tools move in.

Open 7 AM – 7 PM, 7 days a week · Serving Centerton and Benton County

Why new-build garages are worth coating early

An empty garage is the easiest garage to coat. There is nothing to move and no oil stains to scrub out, so the job goes faster and cleaner.

New slabs need to cure before they are coated. The general rule is at least 28 days, and we check moisture before we start. Builder slabs also often have a curing compound or sealer on top, which has to be ground off so the coating bonds to the concrete itself.

New concrete also cracks a little. Hairline shrinkage cracks are normal in the first year and are not a defect, but they should be filled before coating so they do not show through the finish.

Closing day to coated garage

How a typical Centerton new-build garage job goes.

  1. Call before or after closing

Give us your closing date and we will plan around your move-in.

  2. Confirm the cure

Most new-home slabs have cured long enough by closing. We moisture-test to be sure.

  3. Grind and repair

We grind off builder sealers and curing compounds and fill shrinkage cracks.

  4. Coat while it is empty

Base coat, full flake broadcast, and a clear topcoat go down in an empty garage.

  5. Move in

You get exact walk-on and park-on times for the system we install.

Centerton new-home questions

How soon after closing can you coat my garage?

If the slab has had about a month to cure, which most have by closing, we can schedule around your move-in. We moisture-test first either way.

My new slab already has hairline cracks. Is that a problem?

Hairline shrinkage cracks are normal in new concrete. We fill them before coating so they do not show through the finish.

Will coating my garage affect my builder warranty?

A coating does not change the structure of the slab, but some builders have specific warranty terms. It is worth a quick look at yours before we start.
